Vehicle Pursuit

Good Afternoon,

On Sunday, 29 March 2026, at approximately 22:55 hours, I was engaged in a proactive policing operation alongside other officers in the Farnworth area of Bolton. During the operation, I observed a vehicle acting suspiciously. As I attempted to get behind the vehicle, the vehicle made off at speed.

A pursuit was initiated and continued through Farnworth into Kearsley, with support from officers from the Specialist Operations Branch.

The driver subsequently abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

Checks conducted on the vehicle revealed that it was uninsured. As a result, the vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.

Further enquiries remain ongoing.
